Parents B1/B2 visa reapplication advice.
Hi everyone, need advice regarding my parents’ B1/B2 reapplication.
About 6 months ago, my parents + sister applied for my graduation and were refused. My father was the sponsor with an actual income of ~₹75k/month. During the interview, the officer asked if he was spending almost a year’s savings on the trip, and he said “yes” without properly explaining that we have separate savings, property/assets, etc.
I’m now working full-time in the U.S. on initial OPT and postponed my graduation ceremony to December. This time only my parents would apply.
Should we keep my father’s same ₹75k income and have him explain/show savings, CA/net-worth report and property documents if asked? Or can I separately show my U.S. income and contribute toward their trip without combining it with his income?
Also, would it be better to reapply now or wait until I move from OPT to H-1B? Anyone with similar recent experience, please advise.
