Listening to my wife struggle on the phone trying to deal with an automated web site, and unable to succeed in speaking to a human, it occurred to me that there is a market for internet facile kids who can deal with the weirdness of AI powered sources of goods and information. It is a human skill that is only marketable in an automated world. You want help in getting a doctor's appointment before your symptoms kill you? Pay a concierge fee and the doctor will, at least, talk to you. Going crazy because the website says you've ordered something that you didn't and the credit card company is cancelling your card because it doesn't like your ordering that thing that you didn't order? Hire a grandkid and let him/her straighten it out! I think there's a market for that. When you get rich putting this into practice, pray for me.

One of those rare ones we wait for and think about all year that make all the ugly ones
tolerable. We used the morning standing on the corner, holding our protest signs, and
waving to horn blowing passersby. Swedish pancakes afterwards were gifts rather than
earnings. It is part of our routine Saturday mornings and a warm up for October 17. "Stop
the illegal war!" mine said today. It should have added "and murders".
