7 year old 153 lbs Great Bernese

Stewie is coming home soon. I am looking for any advice on how to integrate him into our home. We have 2 cats (7 yo male, 3 yo female) and a 7 yo male Pyr/Bernese (Von) and no kids. We live in a country neighborhood with 2 acres and a large fenced in backyard. 2 months ago we had to put down our 11.5 yo Pyr. Our home hasn't been the same since. Both cats are extremely comfortable with dogs and love to play. Von was a rescue that was never socialized. He keeps to himself, zero resource guarding, loves other dogs (smaller the better), very cautious around other people, but the gentlest sweetest dog I have ever met.

We are experienced dog owners but I was hoping to get some tips on how to manage the new puppy so he can become part of a calm household.
