Failed Paper A first attempt (60.14%), looking for advice on resources, hours and study structure

Hi everyone,

Got my results this morning and as the title says, failed my first attempt at Paper A with 60.14%, pass mark was 66.89%. Disappointing but not entirely unexpected given how I prepared, so I'm trying to be constructive about it :(

A bit of context about my situation:
I work full time 9–5 and only started seriously studying about a month before the exam. Weekends were fully free which helped, but during the week I was squeezing in a few hours where I could. The only resource I used was SPMM.

What I want to do differently for November:

I know I need to start earlier, study more consistently, and probably diversify my resources but I'd love to hear from people who've been in a similar position about what actually worked for them.

A few specific questions:

  1. How many hours per day/week did you dedicate to studying while working full time?
  2. Did you take annual leave before the exam, and if so how much and when?
  3. What resources did you use beyond SPMM? (I've heard people mention Psychmentor, PassMRCPsych, SmartRevise, Mindrecalls, would love to know what people actually found useful vs overhyped)
  4. How did you structure your revision? did you go topic by topic or mix everything from the start?
  5. For those who failed first time and passed second, what was the biggest change you made?
  6. ANY TIPS OR TRICKS THAT YOU FOUND USEFUL?

Any advice appreciated! Thank you all in advance 🙏
