Advice from a 5th year

Advice from a 5th year

Just a few thing to keep on your person at all times;

  1. Non-contact voltage tester
  2. Pencil
  3. Notepad
  4. Flathead or multi driver
  5. Linemans

More times than not when in the beginning of the work day 7am ive done walk thru with JWs foreman etc and we come across something to look at and I was the one who had a screwdriver on them to open a box or a panel or something like that. Even had a foreman thank me n give me major credit for being the only one out of 4 of us to have a screw driver to open this control panel. Just somethings that have helped me along the way. Just recently Ive picked up a pocket level by Stabila it fits perfectly in my little zipper pocket of my Truewerk pants and now thats another daily carry I cant live without.

Feel free to add and share advice/stories, stay safe.

**UPDATE

Just to try n explain what I mean in timing. Envision this. Im on a job ive been on for a while okay tools are on site on my cart, foreman n I meet in the meeting area, "hey kid talk a walk with me wanna show you something. Its 7:04am. He shows me what's next or a task to take on today but I have a question and its in a cabinet or he shows me something and doesn't have that screwdriver to open said equipment. Boom im ready I have the bare minimum on me when I arrive at 7. Thats all I mean.
