Tri Suit

Anyone have any suggestions on tri suits to try? I don’t want to spend a fortune, but I also don’t know where to start or what to look for. I just don’t want the shorts riding up when I run! Any advice will help, thank you!

Want to try, but my biggest obstacle will be showing up

I’ve been wanting to sign up for a sprint triathlon, but I’m honestly nervous… I don’t think my biggest obstacle is whether I can do it physically, it’s weather I will show up to the race. I can see myself training really hard, being 110% prepared and then psyching myself out and not going to the race.

I was a competitive state level gymnast my whole childhood and early adulthood, but I’ve been retired now for 10+ years. I use my indoor bike regularly, and used to bike 30ish miles (right at the end of my gymnastics career, when I was about 18/19 years old). I don’t really run at all but I’m confident I could run a 5k with some training. My biggest challenge will be swimming because I don’t have consistent access to a pool. I know how to swim but I’ve never swam for exercise or in any professional sense before (i was more interested in doing flips off a diving board)

I know a sprint tri isbeginner friendly but showing up and to something I’ve never done before with a bunch of different people I don’t know and doing all three events back to back is intimidating to me.

I guess I’m just looking for words of encouragement, or first time spring tri tips for anyone who’s seasoned (or not). Is there anything you would have liked to know beforehand? Or any advice for someone who doesn’t swim and doesnt have consistent access to a pool? I just want to finish… not looking for a goal medal or anything lol
