Why are there so many fillers, man? I'm watching the anime for the first time, and I'm currently in the Fourth Great Ninja War. The entire arc is absolutely riddled with fillers. Every couple of episodes there's another filler, usually just a flashback to events we've already seen. The worst part is that you can't even skip them because, out of the 20 minutes, there are 2–3 minutes of canon content that's actually essential to the plot.

It's getting so annoying. There'll be an intense, interesting battle going on, and then suddenly the episode cuts away into an endless stream of flashbacks that completely kill the momentum. I can only imagine how frustrating this must have been for people watching it weekly when it was airing

Is there a project similar to One Pace for Naruto that fixes the pacing and cuts out all the unnecessary filler?
