Doing live work as a second year

I’m a second year apprentice at a hospital job right now and part of that is that we can’t always turn off the circuit (at least that’s what they tell me).

Recently I got transferred to a hospital and since then I’ve had to do 120, 208, and 277 on energized systems now it’s very small job about 5 of us with 2 JW and 3 APs. My JW bought me a pair of insulated strippers, linemen’s, and dykes and essentially said we do it live. When I called our GF and asked to be put in the NFPA70E training they said that that’s only for JW but they’re still expecting me to do live work. I’m nervous and confused as to what to do because I have bills to pay and can’t afford to not work but the waitlist for APs is almost 6 months at my local.

I’m not super afraid of doing live work and have gotten used to it in the last few months but I’d still rather not do it live and I know that we should be scheduling shutdowns or something of that matter is there something I can do about it and a way to protect myself against retaliation so I can keep a roof of my head and my family’s?

I want to win by losing (storm)

I’m at an impasse of who to build next, both decks will operate similarly, with Mona Lisa using buff spells and untap effects to generate mana and using power based draw like [[return of the wildspeaker]] to refill my hand while vadrik uses buff spells to discount my spells so I can refill my hand using X based draw spells.

Both of them will be relatively cheap however vadrik will offer more protection with counterspells when I do go for the win but I think Izzet storm has been seen countless times and Mona Lisa might give me the opportunity to use lesser known cards as well as it’ll be easier to pull of the win with hurricane rather than windfall.

I want to win by losing. with vadrik I want to draw my whole deck and use [[windfall]] to make everyone lose by state based actions of having no cards in library (I don’t want to use Jace or anything that lets me win the game off that, I want everyone to lose) and with Mona Lisa I want to generate a bunch of mana and use [[hurricane]] to kill everyone at the same time

I’m not sure what to do so if any of you guys have an ideas or advice let me know who you would rather sit across from.

How do I budget for the first time?

Long story short my parents are broke because they can’t budget or manage their money and I’m starting to fall into the same trap and I don’t want to do that.

After taxes I (19 M) make around 1000-1200 a week as an electrical apprentice in AZ and my parents charge me 500 fo rent plus I pay for gas, food that I take to work (breakfast/ lunch) insurance, and phone bill.

I move out in a little over 2 months with some friends and i want to save up for a house but i don’t know how to set up a budget or set up savings. If anyone could help me set up a budget or where I can find that information that would be greatly appreciated.

I struggle most with impulse purchases but I’ve been trying to resist it and I’ve been able to save 3000 in the last 2 months but that’s because i make a lot more money than my expenses and I’m afraid that when my bills increase from me moving out I’ll start to drown in my own incompetence. Thank yall again and any advice or help even if it seems stupid would help me.
