genuinely how do you have time to sew

I just started a very very small sewing business. when I say small, like it's literally just some friends and then friends of friends hat have been buying from me. I sell makeup bags, totes, and appliqué shirts. I've literally sold like five items that are made once an order is placed and it takes me about a week and a half when I'm not sewing all the time because I don't want to burn out on sewing.

i have a history of burning out on my hobbies and i really don't want to ruin my love for sewing, so I try not to sew every single hour of the day and tell myself it's okay to not finish projects in one or two days.

anyways, between my orders i've been getting it's been keeping me really busy and I'm so happy I've gotten some attention among my small community. however, i'm starting school soon and i have my own list of things I want to sew for myself. how do you guys manage your sewing time, especially if you have your own little small business. i close my orders once i have a lot on my plate but like still, i want some advice!

Help me combat my laziness

We all see these posts about people being addicted to apps, high screen time, whatever. But my issue is that I have zero self control or self discipline.

I have the app timer, I have the reel blocker, i only have Instagram and have deleted tiktok. I have so many hobbies (crafts, puzzles, reading, gardening). My issue is laziness.

Has anyone gone through this?

If im on the couch, bored, its so much more easier for me to grab my phone and start doing anything but go and grab a hobby instead. It's a terrible thing to be lazy, believe me I know and I'm honestly quite ashamed of it but now I'm looking for some guidance.

What could I do that doesn't involve deleting apps? I only say this because I enjoy taking pictures and am into photography and one thing I enjoy doing is sharing my photos to my own little digital journal.

Anything helps

Advice about planting a seed/am i thinking the right way?

This post is meant to ask for advice from a Catholic perspective, not a worldly perspective. I don't mean to violate any rules of this subreddit, I'm only trying to see the situation on how my faith tells me to see it.

I recently just found out a friend of mine (who is a newer friend but we seemed to click very fast), lost a lot of her friends due to something she had done almost a year ago. While I didn't know what the act was, she told me this but didn't get into details because I had been trying to plan a hang out with our friends but nobody had really responded and was only trying to let me know why there may be tension. I still continued to support and be friends with her because I didn't see why I should drop her when I didn't know the story at all.

She asked if we could meet up and talk so she could come clean and explain it all. I agreed although I just recently found out what she had done. She slept with a taken man, but the she only came out about it recently, and the girlfriend of the man still has no clue.

Obviously, this is a terrible act but I can't help but feel sorry for her. She's lost all of her friends for something she did a year ago, and while I'm assuming the best and hoping she learned her lesson, I don't feel any anger towards her. Maybe if anything, she needs a friend right now to be with her after loosing her other friends who have been with her much longer than I have. She's an atheist and some of our life choices obviously don't align but in my head, I know she's forgiven by God so shouldn't I forgive her as well and not hold a grudge/view her differently?

I guess the advice I'm asking for is, am I thinking as a Catholic would? Is this the right choice? To keep moving forward as if nothing happened? I'm still meeting for coffee with her and I'm sure she'll still come clean about what happened so how should I react/tell her? I want to plant a seed in her, but not sure how.

What to buy for the school year

as an incoming freshman, I’m kinda stuck on what I should and shouldn’t buy. do I get a backpack, or should I buy a shoulder bag? or will my shoulder give out with the weight?

as for supplies, i guess it just depends on what classes Im taking right? my math and bio class will for sure need a notebook. also, i know the difference between a lecture and lab class, but will I need a notebook for my lab class?

any advice is helpful

Grad Bash Events

To those who have attended the grad bash in the past couple of years, what are some rides and attractions that are open for this event? I would assume the whole part is not open, but I'm hoping to get insight on what areas are.

Honestly, I just need opinions. This new living requirement is such an inconvenience and more. Although, i do understand where the school is coming from and how they want to build community.

my main concern for commuting is the dense fog in the winter. As for dorming, I like my personal space.

Please, if you can give any advice, your 2c, etc, it'd be very appreciated:)
