Does anyone have any ideas for a day/weekend trip from Bishkek? Ideally accessible by taxi/bus.
Will be in June, happy to do a day trip and return back to accommodation in Bishkek or a weekend trip and stay somewhere there.
I'll have just finished an 8 day trek so I will probably be physically exhausted to do any other big hikes.

A few questions for my upcoming trip to Kyrgyzstan! I will be going for a few weeks in June to Bishkek and Song-Kul among other places
Is it safe? I figure it's far enough from the dangerous things happening in the Middle East. I am Australian so I'd hope they don't think I'm American :D
How cold does it get in summer in the mountains?
Any apps I should download before arriving?
When paying cash, I have USD - will they give me USD in change or is it more likely to get Kyrgyz currency?
Any other general advice is welcomed, thanks.
