Merch prices
EDIT: posters are in fact £40.
I don’t know I guess I’m just disappointed. I’m in my 30s and have been doing shows since the early 00s. Merch has always been expensive and it’s risen in price significantly in recent years - fine.
I don’t get to go to as many shows any more. We’re a very low income family, and I’ve recently developed a disability which impacts my mobility. This show was a really special treat for us as we don’t get out much due to it. We’d already paid a lot for transport and the ticket. I really don’t have money in my budget for additional spending. I told myself to get the poster because I love merch and already knew I wouldn’t have been able to afford tees etc. Im aware of exclusives, limited runs, whatever - but I was expecting £30 at a push. £40 has just kinda thrown me off.

I know merch prices have significantly increased in the last ten years - fine, whatever.
But we got charged £40 for the poster in Glasgow last night. FOURTY POUNDS for a POSTER..? That can’t be right surely. When we got to the merch stand there wasn’t any poster/price on display, but going by the total cost of what was bought it works out being ridiculous.
Can someone please just confirm that’s right? Or were we overcharged? 💀
