The Drifter - First Impressions

As someone who grew up with the Legend of Kryandia, The Dig, and Loom, I've been looking to get back into adventure games for decades. A random reddit post about the The Drifter caught my eye so I thought, "Sure! Let's give it a try." I just finished Chapter 1 and so far, I have to say, perhaps this is it. Perhaps this is the game that brings me back after all the years.

I love the story so far, the voice acting is amazing, the mechanics are easy to use, the music and sound effects truly create a beautiful ambiance. My only qualm, I just wish the graphics were on par with the aforementioned games from the 90s. I love the retro look, but it's almost...too retro? I little bit more art design would have been chef's kiss. But overall, looking forward to chapter two.

Thank you Al Gore and your Rhythm for bringing this to my attention.
