I had a case of revisionist history the other day. I wonder what would have happened if Carlos Sainz didn’t leave Toyota in 1993 and drive for Lancia? Could he have added another driver’s title or two? Would he have beaten either Kankkunen or Auriol for the top spot if he stayed with Toyota?
