Today's a great day at me and my neighbour's coop.

On my side, one of my young hens laid her first ever egg. I am so proud! Does her eggs will stay like this (cream with white spots) or is just a "newbie" egg and it will change overtime?

On my neighbour's, 6 chicks have hatched yesterday. They have 2 great bantam hens scooping and nurturing them. They are the fluffiest and cutest little things. My neighbour already offered me one at my like (I love the naked neck ones and don't have any). They are lovely 😍

Tonight some stray cat was able to enter into our catio, coming from some scaffold of the construction work we are making in the main house. Our kitty loves to be outside on summer nights and we suddenly woke up with a cat fight. My husband was immediately up and was able to cast the cat away through the scaffold (not accessible from inside, just out). But our baby is now with her left paw up, she doesn't want us to touch it and doesn't put it on the ground. We are beyond upset with this, and not having thought about the risk of the scaffold being an access way is eating us up with guilt. We are just waiting for the vet to open at 9am to see her. Hopefully, nothing big is up, and she can recover within a few days. Adding this to a small surgery I did a few days ago, still in recovery, and a close relative passing away yesterday, we are on a very rough week 😞

Let's rest a lot more than usual! Sleep 20 hours instead of only 15h. Eat more tuna and less kibble. Enjoy my servants availability at 100% to have more pets, treats and attention.

After this enlightening post about singing, I want you kitties to tell me who stands being baby talked to?

I loathe it, absolutely loathe being talked just like I'm a fragile little baby. I'm a baby, of course, but not fragile or weak. Just baby for cuddles at night and lap walking.

I'm a superb design of Mother Nature: fierce, wild, a murder machine with fur, capable of withstanding the harshest conditions. I'm top notch in parkour, stealth, agility and wisdom. Who dares to baby talk to me like I'm a dumb dog?!

Please speak to me as the absolute dignified majestic creature I am. Worship me. Bend to me. I am your divinity.

She's been sleeping like this all morning, still on the bed. Amazing balance, holding her chunkiness inside.
