For as long as Corbin has been in the villa, there was a certain unpredictability and an ineffable amount of swagger to his nonchalant, smooth personality that made for genuinely entertaining television.

Although he was a primary punching bag among countless viewers, the villain energy he brought was a much needed cleanser to what is otherwise now a predictable Villa and milquetoast endgame as the final week of Love Island approaches.

Not often do you get to see a bombshell come in and shake up the Island the way CorbGPT did.

As a former disliker turned enjoyer, he will certainly be missed.

The Idea of False Illusion

It’s funny how when the girls see a perfectly happy couple, the assumption, down to Melanie’s exact words, was that he wasn’t “exploring enough.”

But when it comes to their couples, it’s almost like that doesn’t exist.

Sol was entirely right. It is Couple Island, and her and Gabe were easily the last people that should’ve left the island tonight.

If you’re looking at people who ‘explored’ enough and didn’t get what they wanted, it most definitely should’ve been CorbinGPT and Kenzie the cowgirl. They got their exploration at the expense of every other connection around them and had their rosters expanded.

Those two clearly have served their purpose in this segment of the show. The writing has never been more obviously on the wall. Let new blood ignite new connections and get rid of the old, decaying ones.

But no! Get rid of somebody who clearly was putting their all into exploring new connections and truly living out the mantra of the title of the show they’re in, all the while ignoring how cliquey, catty, and obviously closed off they’ve been with their couples.

It’s been the same, tried-and-true, exhausting formula that dictates the first weeks of every Love Island summer this point. Couples that get too comfortable and have no interest in exploring are getting so excruciatingly typical, at this point.

I honestly agree with the boys and respect KC even more for having a backbone and saying he gave Sol the short end of the stick.

Likewise, the girls don’t deserve their pancakes tomorrow.

Kenzie and Melanie

It seems very odd that she seems very checked out about Corbin but suddenly cares now that Melanie wants to talk to him.

It’s understandable when that’s your partner but Kenzie clearly has the hoots for that southern boy in Caleb, and yet still chooses to get mad at Melanie for “giving up” on Sincere and talking with Corbin.

(Which, by the way, I’d give up too if my partner wasn’t honest about kissing a girl THREE times outside of a challenge after giving me a hard time about one kiss, and then spending a solid hour straddled up with Sol in Soul Ties like they’ve been together from the jump.

Melanie deserves better and I like the connection between her and Corbin. It seems genuine and I hope they end up coupling with each other.

But no, Kenzie, for whatever reason, wants her cake and to eat it too. She clearly is checked out with Corbin and wants that southern hospitality.

Which is entirely unproblematic and normal, but it doesn’t make sense why she would be mad at Melanie for exploring that connection, even if the whole Corbin wanting to kiss Melanie but her saying NO *was* out of order.

It just seems very possessive and selfish coming from Kenzie who has had no problem exploring her connections. I get Corbin was out of line to ask for a kiss, but it is way too early and they have not been together long enough to be THAT locked in. Please be for real.

Waymo’s stomach gotta be made of steel.

Between this and the McFlurger, it’s astounding how he manages to stay in shape.
