maybe I'm just overthinking... Evangelion in Project Hail Mary

of course gonna think about evangelion when i read EVA. but the suit is red, got #2 on it, and i see four eyes of unit-02 on the suit. maybe i'm just overthinking or it is really a reference.

edit: wrong choice of english word reference. maybe inspired, easter egg or something related would be more appropriate. and yes, EVA here stand for extra vehicular activity.
