Accidentally grew what seems to be quinine crystals
Not sure this 100% fits cause it's not technically a mineral and hard to get a good photo of the crystals themselves especially under the UV making the phone want to focus even less but I was doing an experiment with mixing lando monster and tonic water around 50/50 to get a nice like cyan fluorescence from the combo of the yellow and blue and watching it as it evaporated to see the color change. Now that it's been sitting a while after basically all the liquid is gone I noticed some crystalization begining and hitting it with a UV shows that it's back to straight quinine coloration with the yellow being completely overpowered which leads me to think it's quinine crystals rather than something else crystalizing out especially when looking online and finding that needle like crystals are a common form for quinine to crystalize into. I feel the need to evaporate some tonic water by itself now to see if that will crystalize or if the inclusion of the other residue from the sugar free monster slowed down the last evaporation enough to allow for crystalization and if this will further crystalize as the last residuals of liquid evaporate out. I'm very surprised cause usually stuff has to be decently pure to crystalize out of a solution and there was a bunch of other junk in there from the vitamins and artificial sweeteners and flavors though maybe those are just such low amounts that it didn't matter
