My beloved KX-27PS1 has had colour issues for a while now, specifically discolouration the top corners. This issue wasn’t there when I first picked up the unit, it’s develops slowly.

I’ve taken it to a local technician and he wasn’t able to do much. I’ve been attempting to mitigate the issue with a degaussing wand but whenever I make a dent it the problem it seems to reset after power cycling.

I’m open to suggestions.

It’s worth noting that the discolouration shifts based on if there’s a speaker or power supply unit near the discoloured area. Although it doesn’t really go away even when there’s nothing around.

Not expecting any miracles, don’t mind a CRT with character. But it’s pretty intense at the moment.
