Lorna Rose Treen on writing for SNL UK
Great interview with Lorna talking about working on SNL UK, including her experience writing Shakespeare's Cunty Little Earing.

I've been looking at the stand-up tour dates confirmed by Larry and Paddy, and I think we can say with some certainty that series 2 of SNL UK will begin on 5th or 12th Sept for 6 episodes, with a break on 3rd October, then an extended break over November-December, with the show returning for the final 6 episodes on 16th January with a break on 6th February.
Just a guess, but I can't see how else it could fit in.
Nice interview with Larry. Apparently his new show is going to be more character/sketch based rather than his usual stand-up, so it seems he's working on honing those skills.
Just a little nugget I picked up on one of the Saturday Night Network podcasts - apparently, SNL UK produced a full practice show, with audience and host (Sarah Hadland), a week before the premiere.
It's a long shot, but I don't suppose anyone on here was present for that show and can tell us anything about what sketches were on? I would presume at least some of those sketches would have made it to the live shows, though presumably Weekend Update was entirely different?
Yes, I know I'm just being impatient, but the announcements of Jack Whitehall and Nicola Coughlan were made on the Tuesday before their week on the show, but we're yet to hear who's hosting the 9th May show.....
I've noticed a few back-references to previous sketches starting to creep into the show this week...
- In the Faraway Tree song, there was a poster for "Hot Streak" from the Boovies Goes To The Films sketch in show 1
- In the Paula from Accounts sketch, one of the covers of "What A Life!" magazine showed the guy from the Mastermind sketch in show 4 whose hair transplant hadn't taken
- In the Pilot Emergency sketch, Dave Grohl was reading a copy of What A Life! magazine
Did anyone spot any more?
