Men Who Cry
Hello,
I feel like I don’t see men cry in many MM books I read. Something traumatic just happened to me and don’t feel I can recognize or feel all my emotions much just yet, but would like to live a bit through characters who also face difficult moments, but still get through it with love. So I’m not looking for a crying kink, but more so a scene where one MC cries and it’s directly addressed or engaged with, such as through in depth description of their feelings, the other MC consoling them, the MC/their friends/family encouraging the MC to express their feelings, etc.
An example is {Invitation to the Blues by Roan Parrish}
I think sometimes in books where there are displays of emotionality from an MC, the other MC is written to be a therapist, daddy, or hero, in a sense. They are always able to recognize and resolve the other MCs problems, not able to be vulnerable/confide in the other MC, or just written to be an overall “perfect” sunny guy. I’m not necessarily looking for that, though it’s not a hard no. I’m more just looking for imperfect humans to connect with other imperfect humans. :)
