Can someone on the other side of the pond please help me to make sense of the controversy that is the Town negotiating outside of its customary process to appease the powers of Lake Champlain Transportation and the new docks at Valcour? I am aware that drastic changes were made, I don’t know exactly how those new docks/overstepping variances affected local residents, but I do know there is some hullabaloo regarding the conflicts of interest in the choice of Town representation and the decisions that were made. We once had a ferry to downtown Burlington from Port Kent. That was cool.
