I am trying to summon the Reddit spirits to answer one of our biggest questions…
What do Parisian and experts do in terms of SOCIALISING? Also, what are the biggest challenges you guys are facing when it comes to networking and making connections.

Is it easy? Is it tough? Does it become lonely often or do you feel left out? Or are you not finding people? Or there is not enough resources to find out what’s happening, happening around Paris?

I would love to know from you guys because we are trying to build something in terms of making socialising, easy. Please feel free to comment or Dm your experiences, it would help us build something meaningful.

Hi all, I have come across a lot of posts, which talks about finding friends and looking for activities to do around Paris. And people are fighting loneliness and struggling to make connections.
My partner and I have a small supper club for community building. We Invite six people and host five course dinner. We also have music. We do this on weekends.
We have had some really amazing bunch of people we have met through this.
We have posted around seven dinners in two months now.

I invited six strangers to dinner.

Not a party, not a networking event, not a "let's grab drinks" situation that ends after two hours with a vague "we should do this again sometime."

A cozy home. A long table. A proper meal. And a rule that we actually talk.

No "so what do you do" as an opener. No phones. No polite nodding while mentally planning your exit.

It was one of the best evenings I've had in Paris and I'm not entirely sure how to explain why.

I'm thinking about doing it again. Very small. Very intentional. Not for everyone - and honestly that's the point.

Also - to everyone who DM'd me last time and got radio silence back: I'm sorry. Life happened. The link didn't work. I was figuring things out. You deserved better and I come in peace.
