TX BON CEs

I submitted my application to reinstate my license due to delinquency. I submitted 20 CEs from medtrainer. The certificates stated my name, date, course name, and how many contact hours. It even stated at the bottom it was ANCC certified website. I am upset because they emailed me saying 5.5 were accepted and I need 14.5 additional ones. All my courses were nursing related? I am so confused. Any light to be shed?

I’ve posted before my situation. I took full responsibility for being late in renewing. (I was 1 day late). Anyways. I submitted everything on 5/1 and I’m still waiting on 5/6. My job is being very understanding and has removed me from the schedule this week. This has been an absolute nightmare! Their usual 15 day approval timeline is now bumped up to 20 days. I tried calling but ofcourse they cannot stray from their usual script.
I feel like I’m in hell waiting. I do not mind being a lesson for other nurses as an example of not to let it slip your mind to renew!
I was signed up for nursys in 2019 when I became a nurse but I vaguely remember them having a shift in their system and I needed to reverify my contact info…. I guess I never did. I usually remember them hounding you and texting you everyday. I didn’t get that this time.
Anyways, if you’ve made it this far, thanks for letting me rant!

So my nursing license expired 4/30. As you can imagine how fast my heart dropped this morning (5/1) when my employer texted me asking why it doesn’t say active. I quickly logged on to renew it and uploaded all my CEUs and paid the $128 fee.
I know it can take up to 15 days… I just want to cry for being so stupid and irresponsible letting it expire.
I wasn’t scheduled to work today, this weekend, or Monday. I work very PRN but I’m still so upset with myself. Guess I’m just sharing my experience so other nurses don’t make this same mistake!
