Voiceover in Training Modules

Finally found a parent willing to step into the committee chair role, so I went to take the my.scouting position specific training so I can best prep this new parent for the role when we meet in a couple days.

That AI voiceover is unlistenable. I can put up with the terrible LMS, dated graphics, mediocre instructional design because, well, I'm devoted to Scouting and understand the difficulty of getting this stuff updated. But that voiceover is something else. I don't recall it being this bad when I last took position-specific training.

If Kate or any other national person happens to read this reddit, I will record all new VO next week in a real studio and provide audio files. I don't have my grandfather's amazing radio voice, but it'd be an immediate improvement. And I know there are tons of volunteers willing to help with these trainings.

Updated Dues Collection

This was posted on FB the other day and the comments were not the most helpful (but props to the dude from the Member Engagement Committee for, like, engaging).

Will the unit now be responsible for haranguing families to re-up once this goes into effect? Because man that's annoying. It's been nice as a unit leader not to have to do that, on top of everything else we gotta do.
