Unit Hot with Fans Running a Lot - HP Spectre x360 model: 15-ch011dx

My original fans were failing so I bought replacements as well as 32GB RAM modules and installed them in August 2025.
At first the fans ran quietly and the unit was cool, but lately the fans seem to run all the time and the unit is very warm (hot) to the touch.
The vents are clear and both fans are running as air is coming out of both sides.
I downloaded a Core Temp app and it has recently started giving me critical heat warnings.
Anyone run into this before? Could it be the fans only lasted a year and are degrading?
I looked at the settings before, but nothing has been changed since.
