Request exclusive flairs here!

Greetings! This is the dedicated post to request any of the exclusive flairs. Doing so is very simple: leave a comment specifying which flair you would like, along with evidence that you meet the requirements, and we'll be sure to provide you with the requested flair. For example, if you would like the Snowy Owl flair, leave a comment asking for it with an image attached to show that you own the Snowy Owl skin, and you're done!

If you don't receive the flair within a few hours, feel free to contact us via mod mail, or DM one of the moderators.

For the milestone flairs, you can also create your own post highlighting your achievement! If doing so, we would also like for you to specify which of the milestone flairs you would like in either a comment or I'm the description of the post. Otherwise, we'll send a piece of mod mail your way to ask if you would like one of the flairs.

NOTICE: DO NOT ASK FOR A CUSTOM FLAIR, AS THOSE ARE RESERVED FOR MODERATORS! THE EXCLUSIVE FLAIRS INCLUDE THOSE FOR THE EVENT SKINS, AND FOR NOSFERATU'S MILESTONES!

Happy hunting, everyone!

User flairs have been updated!

Greetings, fledglings! I'm excited to announce that we've updated the user flairs to have a bit more flavor than simple text! Each flair has a new icon (designed by myself) based on each skin they're supposed to represent; excluding Mowl, which, as a joke skin, which instead has a low resolution version of the original image since it isn't meant to be taken too seriously in the first place.

Each skin that is available in the shop has their respective flair is available to everyone, and can be selected as you would in any other subreddit. However, certain flairs will require proof, which can be provided in a dedicated post that will be up shortly. It will be pinned in the comments once available, but will also be permanently pinned for ease of access.

None of the current icons should be considered final, and are subject to change. I'd love to hear feedback on theses to make sure you as a community enjoy them, and to have each of the icons in the best state possible!

One last thing of note: currently, the flairs for each of the milestones do *not* have an associates icon. This is because the milestone skins themselves have not been released, and I wanted to make sure I spent my time designing icons for the flairs that did have an associated skin. I may make placeholders for them if enough people request it, in which case this post will be amended to reflect such.

But for now, enjoy the new flairs! A good amount of work has gone into designing each of these, and I sure hope you enjoy the results! Not-feratu, out.

[Nosferatu has received a new render and some balance changes in the latest update!]

[His new render has him posed on what seems to be a throne, wine glass in hand and filled with what is likely blood. It's somewhat reminiscent of when you enter Dracula's chamber in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, though that may be the nerd in me talking. Regardless, he is absolutely aura-farming in his new render.]

[Now, onto the changes, shown in the second image. I would like to preface that I have not yet played with these changes myself, so my thoughts should be taken with a grain of salt. Once I'm able to test them out, I'll be commenting on this post with how they feel, but as of writing these are taken with how I expect them to play out.]

[Firstly, Bloodhook was buffed, plain and simple. The second hit from reeling in finally does more damage than his Basic Attack, something I am glad to see, and his cooldown was reworked as well. Prior, it would be a 30 second cooldown on hit, and 20 seconds on miss. This has been changed to instead be a flat 24 second cooldown, regardless of accuracy. Overall, it should help the cooldown to feel more consistent, while being much shorter overall.]

[Cataclysm has also received changes. There was a quality of life improvement to prevent the ability from occasionally forgetting a puddle, which will be very helpful in consistency with the ability. However, Cataclysm has also been changed to cause more bleeding, reducing the slowness. Again, I haven't tested the change myself, but I believe this helps it to direct it's focus as a zoning tool, instead of trapping. While it can still be used as such, it's not certain death to walk into it regardless, distance. Instead, it should force survivors to think more carefully of their decisions against it: do they have enough distance to move through it safely, do they need to risk it to get out of a bad area, or do they try and make do with a bad situation? In my opinion, this is how a Zoner should feel to play against, and I'm very hopeful that these changes will end up being positive and encourage players to test out that part of his playstyle much more fully.]

[And last, and certainly what seems to be the most controversial, Hunter's Feast has been reworked slightly. The wind-up has been increased to half a second, which will make it harder to use directly next to a survivor. It don't see the increased cooldown being much of a hindrance, however, as it should still be able to be used to easily punish missed stuns or potentially bait out a Guest's block. However, what I take to be the most controversial part is the fact that now moves much slower until redirected, where it then moves thrice as fast... and to be honest, I really don't see the issue with this. For starters, if you're trying to fire it in a straight line, just press the ability button twice to make it approach faster and be harder to dodge. If trying to redirect it around a loop, I can see how this would be an issue, as survivors have more time to react to the initial casting, though this is remedied due to the recast all but guaranteeing an easy hit. I had heard from a friend that some players think Hunter's Feast was entirely gutted this balance patch, and when they responded to "just redirect it" they were told that "nobody uses that," which is just plain silly to me. I think the change is a slight nerf overall, but I'm expecting it to act as more of a side-grade to how it previously worked, and am hopeful that players will start using the redirect feature more frequently!]

[Once again, those are simply my thoughts. I haven't tested the changes yet to see how they work, so again, take it with a grain of salt. But that's enough of me talking. What are your thoughts? Do these changes feel worse, better, or somewhere in-between?]

The Chittering Masquerade

The Masquerade has begun anew, with chattering voices talking amongst themselves. The invitation had asked you to arrive in finer clothing this time, and to wear a mask suitable for the occasion. The crowd seems far more comfortable being here, and so do you, heading inside to enjoy the festivities...

Welcome back, partygoers! Apologies for the delay, I've been distracted with other matters, but I've finally gotten the next Masquerade situated. Once again, this post will be open for one week before closing, which is especially important as this will include a special "challenge" to participate in.

In this Masquerade, you're goal is to talk to as many unique attendants as possible. Whatever character you RP as will gain one point for each other character you talk to; if an account has multiple characters they RP as, each character is counted separately. This does mean you can just... talk to yourself, technically, but other participants will still be able to talk to them, so it's encouraged to talk with as many other people as you can! Once the Masquerade is over, points will be tallied up, and the winner will receive... uh... I actually haven't gotten that far. It'll likely be some sort of special flair, though.

Regardless, just enjoy the masquerade as is! You aren't required to try and win any of it, and there's no shame in being here for the sake of it. Now, get out there and start chatting with the other visitors!
