I have no legal background, so just checking. Would the DCP livestream issue slow down the ruling on video evidence that we’re supposed to get this week? Should we still anticipate it tomorrow or Friday?
I saw the new Black Swan musical at the American Repertory Theater in Boston for its premiere run and it was not only the best musical I have ever seen but also the greatest piece of art I have ever witnessed in person. I swear to god it’s the best musical of the decade and it better go to broadway and you better see it.
Melanie Moore’s dancing was unbelievable, of course, but her acting was also world class. The journey she went on throughout the show — Natalie Portman’s performance as Nina paled in comparison. I know it’s a well loved performance but compared to Melanie Moore she was literally one note.
The changes made from the movie all serve to make the story more interesting. Rather than a male choreographer who sexually harasses Nina it’s a female choreographer who wants to push her to her limits to get the best possible performance and we do away with her being accused of sleeping her way to the top because it’s literally more interesting without it.
The dancing was obviously a highlight. The choreography was great. I loved the music.
The EFFECTs were unbelievable. Blood, prosthetics. Smoke, mirrors. I don’t want to even give away the incredible effects in the show. My friend cried just from how cool it looked because that’s how fucking cool it was. I cried from the emotional impact of the ending.
After the first act I said, I think that was the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life. After the second act I could barely remember the first act. So much happens. so well done. I literally can’t wait to see it again. it’s my favorite thing I have ever seen.
