Rib graft nose, one week post op

I had a third rhinoplasty with a rib graft. My only request was to have a straight nose from both the front and the side.

I’m currently one week post-op. Yesterday, my surgeon removed the cast and I saw my nose for the first time.

I can breathe better, but although my nose is obviously still very swollen, it also still looks quite crooked…

My tip still deviates to the left and my septum to the right, just like before.

My surgeon told me to do daily massages to reduce the swelling and also help decrease the asymmetry…

I honestly don’t know what to think. I’m disappointed for now. There is some improvement, but it’s far from what I was hoping for.

Can taping help reduce asymmetry like I’m showing in the photo with my finger?

Third nose job, rib graft

I’m currently 1 day after my rhinoplasty with a costal cartilage graft.

So far, I genuinely have 0 pain, which surprised me a lot. I was expecting discomfort, especially with the rib harvest but it’s been very manageable.

The only thing I’m dealing with is having to constantly change my nasal dressing because there’s still some bleeding. It’s not heavy, just enough to require regular changes to keep everything clean and comfortable.

My surgeon posted this before-and-after photo on the operating table. What do you think?
