Whole bunch of weirdos with their 4-and-half-stringed instruments met in Caslav, Czech Republic the past weekend.

And that is just a small part of local banjo pickers, bands to perform do swap year on year on a rotating schedule. The festival Banjo Jamboree was 54th annual. The gentleman sitting in the first line - Marko Cermak aged 86 - performed a festival set with his band. You could along with Czechs also see banjo players who are slovak, dutch, argentinian, american, german, russian, austrian, swedish and polish. And two nights of jams everywhere.
