We just released our second Playtest for TNU: Volume 2.0 - Mind. It's even bigger than the Volume 1.0! With our Playtest series we want to achieve three things:

Get feedback on our new game mechanics, balancing, and the design, that are still in development and can profit greatly from being playtested by other groups outside our own. Especially we want to hear what's fun and what isn't (yet). The Campaign Frame we introduce in Volume 2.0, Hellrave, is perfect for quick and easy sessions with lots of action!
Share what we created so far with an amazing, supportive community that came to life in this subreddit! Thanks r/daggerheart!
And of course we also want to tease your appetite while waiting for this fully Daggerheart compatible sci-fi Corebook, that's scheduled to be delivered to our Kickstarter backers end of the year!

What's in Volume 2.0 - Mind?

3 Classes: Protean, Cheat, Architect
3 Subclasses: Spectre, Bounty Hunter, Living Arsenal
4 Domains: MERCURY – THE IMPULSE, SATURN – THE SHADOW, URANUS – THE SPARK, PLUTO – THE END (each up to level 3)
6 Ancestries: Homo Novus - Vigil, Homo Novus - Lucid, Transhuman - Armament, Transhuman - Infused, Android, Visc – and a peak into our Endless Ancestry System with 4 new Ancestry Features!
3 Communities: Exodusrooted, Logicrooted, Nebularooted

The New Unknown – A full science-fiction Core Book for Daggerheart™ Compatible

Our TNU Kickstarter campaign launched Tuesday, was funded in 55 minutes and did already reach five of it's six Stretch Goals. Get on board new!

9 new Classes and 18 new Subclasses: These are no reskins or remixes of the Daggerheart Fantasy Classes - the Classes and Subclasses in The New Unknown are completely new designs with unique features and mechanics.
9 new Domains with 189 Domain Cards: Again, these are no reskins of the fantasy material. The Domains are designed from scratch and specifically created for sci-fi universes.
A completely new ruleset for Spaceship Building and Space Combat, including its own Adversaries and Environments - but still staying true to the design philosophies behind Daggerheart.
18 new Ancestries and Endless Ancestries: Playing in endless space means you can always discover something new and unexpected. Our system offers over 66 Ancestry Features with more than 1000 combinations to create unique Ancestries and bring your ideas to life.
9 new Communities to give your characters a unique backstory that is rooted in the conditions of their home systems or the unique ways of their upbringing.
A full range of new Items for all Tiers of play: Weapons, Armor, Expandables, other Gear and a new Item category with new rule mechanics - Cybernetic Implants.

We are so excited to share our Kickstarter for "The New Unknown" just went live.

And by the time we are writing this is already fully funded. We couldn't be more happy! (I actually spend some time in disbelief refreshing the page...)

r/daggerheart is where we first posted about our idea for an fully Daggerheart compatible sci-fi Core Rulebook! It's where we first got a taste of how many people want to see this happening, pushing us further. So with this post we wanted to thank all of you for your support, your interest in the project and the feedback. Thank you so much!

With the Kickstarter the Unknown seems closer than ever, ready to be explored. Hopefully by as many pioneers as possible.
