Hi! I’m new to Florida and don’t really use Reddit to post, so sorry if I have this wrong.

I recently moved to Orlando for the Disney College Program and am a business student at the University of New Mexico. This summer, I completed an internship with a commercial real estate investment firm, where I worked on underwriting, market research, and investment analysis.
Long term, I’m interested in commercial real estate, especially multifamily and hospitality.

While I’m here, I’d love to learn more about the Florida market, hear different perspectives, and connect with people in the industry. I’m also happy to share what I’ve learned so far if it’s helpful.

What are some of the biggest differences between the Florida market and other parts of the country? Or, what should someone new to Florida be paying attention to?
