Slanted hoods looked weird to me, now I kind of get it.

We did a small kitchen update recently. My husband handled most of it, but I picked the cabinet color. He kept everything really simple and modern. At first i thought it looked a little too much like a model apartment, but now It honestly feels clean, and really put together. I might add a small shelf on the left side of the cooktop later for extra storage space.

The biggest change is definitely the new slanted range hood. When he first picked it, I thought it looked kind of weird. It’s nothing like the traditional hoods I’m used to. but it’s really grown on me. It makes the kitchen feel clean and modern, and it’s not as bulky as I thought it would be. Function-wise, I get why he wanted it. It don't have a filter, so cleaning is easy. It pulls smoke really fast, there’s less greasy buildup. Overall, this spot is so much easier to keep clean now.

What do you guys think? Does it feel sleek and modern, or is it too “bachelor/model apartment” vibe?
