My abscess was drained on August 25 and I thought I was healed within a week after. However, the swelling and pain sensation came back and the specialist confirmed I needed a Fistulotomy , which is in a few days. For the last few weeks, I’ve had very little pain, but I can clearly feel the opening where it drains randomly and it’s uncomfortable to sit for prolonged times (1 hour +).

I understand the recovery process takes a while however, my biggest concern is can I drive after a few days of bedrest?

Luckily I can work from home so I can use my standing desk .. but being able to drive and get things done is critical .. I have a pillow that I can use in the car or should I not be sitting for more than 30 to 45 minutes at a time?
