fat larvae

this is my first time attempting to breed bdfb and so far my larvae are doing great i see lots of fat ones and some that look close to pupation like it’s crazy i would have never thought i would get this far

first time finding eggs!!!!

so i just found three eggs!! im gonna try to raise these little guys i’ve heard how hard it can be to successfully do it but its worth a shot🤷‍♀️ wish me luck

cleaning wood

i’m getting beetles tomorrow and i just got all the wood and decorations but google says i have to like boil them or bake them but i ran everything under steaming water and scrubbed with a new toothbrush is there anything else i need to do? i’m letting the wood dry now but i just want everything to be safe for my new blueberries

deformed pupa?

i raise hornworms as an occasional hobby and this one is newly pupated as of two ish days ago it seems to have a deformity that i have never seen before, is this life threatening to the pupa or is it just a minor deformity?
