Which Front would be the best for semi cascade? 1 or 2, how do I create an apex for a cascade design?

I’ve had a lot of issues with my large Chinese elm the whole summer. I see a lot of yellowing leaves with green spots, today I’m seeing crispy darker green leaves (last picture). My smaller elm I slip potted a month ago and is doing great, same with my cuttings. I believe something is wrong with the roots/soil on my large elm. Is it safe to trim roots and repot it now?

I was going to trim the roots and place it back into the same bonsai pot. I think using this larger deeper pot would be a better choice.

I’ve had this tree for a year and this is its first summer outside. I’ve done minor wiring and pruning. What are the next steps I should take for my bonsai? Last picture is from January, a lot of new growth since being outside.

A lot of crossing branches, hopefully my elm grows back stronger.

Teased the roots to loosen. I used Brussels bonsai soil, added calcined clay and lava rock.

A lot of yellowing on my Chinese elm. My cuttings I took that have rooted are under my bench in a shady spot. Could my main tree be getting too much sun? Usually my bench gets shade around 5pm.

What are the next steps for these cuttings? Should I remove the humidity dome and transition them into more sunlight? It’s been 5 weeks since I took the cuttings.

Is this a good time to repot? I read a forum that said repotting can be done anytime from Fathers Day to August. I dug into the outer soil and saw a good size root circling the pot. My plan is to expose the double trunk more and repot it higher up. Can I trim roots and repot it back into the same pot? (Mugo Pine)

Used 4 skewers and wire to make a diy stake. This is my first time doing something like this! Last picture was 3 months ago when I wired and pruned. I removed the wire today, had some minor wire bite.

Could this be why I’ve been having a lot of yellowing leaves and fallen leaves in the past couple of weeks? I have a 3 in 1 that could work. I’ve been seeing alot of crispy dried leaves also.

I wanted to style my Mugo at the end of summer, but I just dug into the soil and I can see a few thick roots circling inside the pot close to the surface. I know Mugos are finicky and don’t like a lot of work done at the same time. What should I do?

Purchased some Hormex Rooting Powder. Let’s see if these root!
