Might be a stupid question since it's my first (hopefully not last) Defcon, but I'm seeing all these different badges like the laser tag one and stuff.

Do ya'll stock up on lanyards to wear them or do you not wear them or only wear some or is there like a bandolier system?

Do these badges come with lanyards or do I need to come prepared with a bunch of lanyards?

At this point, I'm gonna have at least 2, the defcon one and laser tag one.

Also, if have a multiple, how do ya'll keep from them banging into each other or damaging them.

Hello. I've never been to Defcon or the LVCC West Hall before so I'm asking about the availability of seats/chairs/seating area for Defcon. I know it's gonna be a lot of walking and standing, but will there be places to sit down and rest/relax or will that mainly be at the talks and stuff.

Just planning out stuff like if I need to bring a collapsible stool or something because I'd rather not sit on the floor.

Also, how's the HVAC situation typically in that space? Warm, cold, tundra, sauna?

This is my first time going to DefCon. I have read many posts about getting into the merch line immediately after getting badges and that merch line is cash only.

My question though is what merch will be available and what approximate prices are so I can be prepared with enough cash.

Oh and I didn't see anything regarding bag sizes in any of the older posts I searched. Should I plan on bringing a bigger bag even though I'm not bring a laptop or anything? Mainly just a water bottle and snacks. I dunno if this is similar to other tech conferences were you end up with random swag from vendors and such.
