It's green again and not gold, what is going on?
I'm not gonna buy this but it's strange that they changed the colour back to green.
Did they just use a wrong colour when the article first released and just realised it?

The ones I used in image are only the ones that came to my mind, there's a few more.
"Oh but Lysander has novels and stories. He'stan and Shaan appears in novels too"
Yes but they haven't appeared in anything new. Shaan has now become a chapter master and what has changed?
He'stan is still looking for Artifacts in Imperium Nihilus apperantly.
And Lysander is in Cadia trying to hault Iron Warriors.
But wouldn't more people be buying miniatures or even full on armies if they had read a story about these characters?
Like i love Lysander as a character, he is that old grumpy guy but he is good at heart. I love him what can I say and I want a new novel about him. I want the novel to tell me what has he been feeling about crossing to Rubicon or even though he doesn't get along well with Tor Garadon they have this weird bond as they are one of the last fists from the chapter before the flux of primaris marines.
Let's take Lord Invocatus, Kravek Morne and Caanok Var all together. These guys have only been written about codexes, campaign books and white dwarf articles. They look cool to me but you can't just tell me they are cool you need to show it to me.
That for me was The Either audio drama. Something about Tybalt's character just clicked with me. I relate to him on one thing. Appericiation.
This is something I struggle with in real life. I want people to appericiate and notice me but you know I don't wanna go and shout "Hey look at me I am here pay attention to me!" Perturabo also suffers from it aswell but he ain't really my favorite.
But in this story he really shows that, he is competent and someone to be taken seriously. But he also feels sad when he is once more not taken into the Mournival. Which is funny because there's the short story Little Horus where we see Abaddon and Aximand talking about who they should add to Mournival and when Tybalt is mentioned Abaddon shuts Aximand down on that.
I really felt the moment when Tybalt is talking about all the Shattered Legions attacks and that they are coordinated, all the Mournival dismiss his opinion and think that Shattered Legion forces are only a nuisance and that Tybalt is just paranoid because he thought he killed Shadrak Meduson when he didn't.
And it's not even like dismissed in a bad way,
Aximand wants to support him.
Abaddon outright dismisses his thoughts and tells him to get ready for Molech.
Grael Noctua mentions that these attacks might just be smoke screens to divert Sons of Horus forces and there really isn't a big plan for Shattered Legions.
And lastly Falkus Kibre just mentions that, if there really was a big enemy. Wouldn't Horus Lupercal already be aware of it?
Of course after being denied by Mournival to see Horus, what does Tybalt do? Does he sulk in a mansion like he did when he learned Shadrak Meduson is still alive? Of course not he without authorisation forms his own operation and executes it.
And he shows the Mournival and Horus how true his fears really are when he takes an Iron Hand ship captive who was spying on the Sons of Horus.
"While you were sitting on your complacent behinds, I took action. You were so sure of your own prowess that you never gave any other Legion credit for being as good, as resilient, as tough as us. Well, guess what? They are strong, and they are fighting back!"
I also liked the supporting cast for it, Tybalt's left and right hands. Kysen Scybale and Cyon Azedine. In fact these two had my favorite line of dialogue while they were boarding an Iron Hands ship.
"Don't they already know they are beaten?" - Kysen
"Would you yield to an enemy that thought of you as beaten?" - Cyon
"No but I am 16th, even the iron 10th can't match that" - Kysen
I wanted to make this post since I saw the screenshot on the 2nd and 3rd image and kinda made me sad.
He is such a beloved author for warhammer yet his other works seem to not get recognition?
So yeah please go and check out his site and bluesky account he posts on it daily, he recently wrote a short Trench Crusade story. That's Warhammer adjacent even though the setting doesn't interest me it might interest you.
https://joshuamreynolds.co.uk/
https://bsky.app/profile/jmreynolds.bsky.social
And unlike most author websites he does keep it active, just don't forget to check his "Works" page for stories that might interest you.
Games Workshop get this man his Blood Bowl novel, he has been talking about wanting to write one for years.
So today we got that new Huron novel announcement and I'm seeing people write "oh is he a good author" or "fuck it's Marc Collins" now I do have Eidolon novel but I haven't read it, it's in my list.
So why not ask you, the subreddit members on what you think of him. That way people can be more informed on what to except from his novels etc and so the person reading it can make the decision on whether to buy the novel or not etc.
Now warning, please just try to be respectful to the author and each other. Don't go hating on someone if they like him or don't like him.
I saw some good things about him, someone commented how well he does the void combat. That's nice to hear. (we need more imperial navy novels)
Another Bi weekly post. God it's so hot where I am. I'll keep this short.
What did you think of the characters, the story and events in the novel?
Next novel is Armageddon: Season of Fire by Jude Reid.
It's such a neat tie to Torghun's story. A sense of peace and finallity to it. It's weird to me it was never put into any anthologies, it's a important short story for Torghun and Shiban, it's the closure Shiban needed in The Path of Heaven.
Time for an excerpt:
>"Forgive me, though. I do not know much of the war. I had always been told… Well, it was said…" She struggled. "They told us he had gone to the Luna Wolves."
>That name no longer meant anything. It had ceased even to be a source of hatred, just an old term that belonged in another age. It had been a long time since Shiban had even heard it mentioned, and soon it would disappear entirely, buried under an avalanche of stale treachery.
>"No," he said. "No, tell it differently now. He was, and will always be, a White Scar."
I was pleasently suprised for Chem Dog, a novel that isn't just the main 3. Though I would be lying if I said "oh we only get novels about 3 of these regiments" that's just false we got "Volpone Glory", "WitchBringer" and "Final Deployment". At least those 3 that come to my mind first besides Chem Dog.
While we are here let me just bring up, Hey Black Library you remember Severina Raine you know the commissar you made a model for and then just forget. What happened to her ? Hello ? I heard Honourbound was a great novel, seems all strange.
Well since we had a hardback re-release I thought it was a great pick to do this, and yeah to get people hyped into reading the novel when they buy it INSTEAD OF KEEPING IT IN THEIR SHELF FOREVER!
Anyways so, what did you think of the novel, characters, events and story ?
Next time we continue Nagash with Nagash the Unbroken. Take care!
This has been a growing topic so why not make a post about it. Also I apologise for not being able to find a better version of False God's all the ones I could find had words on it.
I have seen two types of comments, the ones who love it and those who don't like it. I am on the don't like it side so you can call me bias all you want, I am just being honest.
My main issue is and this has been a growing trend in Black Library I noticed is that, the art doesn't really there to sell you the novel or make you think about what's going to happen. The novels recently have been just, oh put the main character of the novel in the cover and that's it.
The older novels had detailed backgrounds which made you imagine and form ideas in your head but no longer. But that's just a general Black Library thing so let's talk about these 3.
I feel like Horus Rising is just great, I mean yeah we don't really see the battlefield like we did in the originial art but you see the Mournival and Horus so it's a great start.
Then False God's comes in which is still fine for me, don't really have much notes to add or complain.
But the comes Galaxy in Flames which seems to be the real tipping point for everyone. I understand Loken is closest thing we get to a POV character for the heresy but come on. As I said in my 3rd paragraph this is a growing trend in GW where they just put the main character on the cover and be done with it. I was excepting legions fighting their brothers and such but apperantly fucking not.
I get Loken is probably the most beloved character in the Heresy and that this scene is a very pivotal point but come on, at least put some dead bodies of marines from other legions on the floor or the enviroment.
Last comment, and I didn't realise this until someone pointed it out, they are too fucking clean. Like Loken and Tarik has been fighting for 2 months and not a single dirt, scratch or any other damage on them. The cape is the only thing thats seems damaged.
Sigh, so what do you guys think ?
This is more like a follow up to yesterdays post. So I don't think we have gotten IAE for fantasy/AOS or Horus Heresy ?
So what do you recommend or wish that had gotten that treatment ?
I think Shroud of Night and God Eater's Son would be perfect as we see tons of different characters and enviroments.
This is just a discussion post, I should make that clear. I am not saying they are better just something to start a conversation with.
To me, they are better. Because first both IAE (illustrated and Annotated Edition) LE and SE are hardbacks which is good it's easier to read that way and also looks better on a shelf.
But like to me IAE just feels more bang for your buck ? I paid 65 euros for Zardu Layak Special Edition and while the cover art and signature is nice I feel like the For The Emperor and Lords of Silence IAE gives me more illustrations and again annotations by the author, and that only costs 31.50 euros.
Again I am not saying they are better, it's just I'm doing comparisons. A lot of people care about signatures and the number of the LE/SE copy they have, I don't so yeah my thoughts on those lowers.
But what's your thoughts on it ? Feel free to share.
If I sound like I am rambling I am sorry, I am just very sleepy right now.
Welcome to the finale of this little series I have been posting since uhh 2 months jeez. Anyhow some acknowledges.
Of course this is not the whole Ultramarines novel or novellas. I had to cut it down for the fact that reddit only allows 20 images.
You can find the list that has Blood of Iax and Dark Imperium triology missing on this post
Now onto an another explanation. Why doesn't this post has X Y or Z novel ? Well it's because of my lack of assurance ? I think that's the word to use. Basically if I haven't read it I basically have trust issues with a novel. I know that some novels like Dawn of Fire has Ultramarine novels but again I do not know how much they play a role to identify them as Ultramarine novels, and besides they are part of Dawn of Fire so I don't wanna mess with it. Same goes for Belisarius Cawl:The Great Work novel as u/Tangyhyperspace mentions that they play a big role, even bigger then Cawl but as I said I can't confirm it so I won't add here.
Now I shall make a list of other posts from this series so that you guys might wanna check it out etc.
Round up of World Eaters, Death Guard, Thousand Sons and Black Legion
