30F with ₹6L to invest for 10+ years, looking for a sanity check

Hey ya'll, I'm 30, earning around ₹45k/month, and have ₹7.5L sitting idle in my savings account. I already have about ₹1.1L invested and I'm planning to keep another ₹1.1L accessible, so I want to invest the remaining ₹6L for the long term (10+ years).

My current investments:

  • UTI Nifty 50 Direct Growth — ₹42.5k
  • Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Direct Growth — ₹35.3k
  • HDFC Hybrid Equity Direct Growth — ₹32.5k

Current SIP: ₹15k/month (6k UTI + 5k Parag Parikh + 4k HDFC)

For the ₹6L, I'm currently thinking:

  • ₹3L — UTI Nifty 50
  • ₹2L — Parag Parikh Flexi Cap
  • ₹1L — Mid-cap (currently looking at Kotak Midcap)

I don't need this money anytime soon and I'm looking for something I can just stick with for 10–15+ years. I'm not trying to chase the highest returns, but I also don't want to be unnecessarily conservative.

I've mostly arrived at this plan through my own research and, honestly, a lot of ChatGPT conversations. Before I actually put ₹6L into it, I wanted some opinions from people who know more about investing than I do.

Does this allocation make sense? Would you change anything? Am I missing something obvious?

First ever trek. Blistered feet, shattered knees and views for days. 10/10 would do it again.

Just returned home after completing my first ever trek, Beas Kund and my first ever time in Himachal. 10/10 would do it again, with less amateur mistakes.

Edit: People have asked for the amateur mistakes, from experience I'm listing what I can remember.

  1. Do not wear a new pair of shoes, they will blister your feet
  2. Wear thick socks while descending (helped me from making the blisters worse)
  3. Carry only what you need, not what you think you might use
  4. Drink plenty of water
  5. Don't be slow while descending, but have proper technique which puts less impact on your knees
  6. Strength train and do more cardio to go on more treks to enjoy the view and not be panting and gasping for air

That's all I can think of for now.

Hard to walk in trekking boots

I booked a trek (Beas Kund) very last minute and it's also my first trek ever. So i did not have the right boots and ordered the Decathlon Forclaz MT 100 Trekking boots, kinda expensive for me but I wanted to invest in a good pair of boots. I got them today and I tried walking and noticed that it prevents my feets range of motion because it is a high ankle boots. I am worried if this will be a problem when I go on the trek. I have a week to break into the boots. But I am not sure if this is normal or I just don't have the right fit? Anyone facing the same issue or have any solutions, please share your experience.

Suggestions on Best way to reach Manali from Jaipur

Hi everyone, looking for transport options as a solo female traveler.

I have a trek planned on 27th June. And I want to reach Manali by 26th.

I plan to take an overnight bus from Jaipur on 25th to Chandigarh. Reach Chandigarh early morning and take another bus to Manali. So I can reach Manali by 26th evening.

Or is there a better way? Would love to hear your suggestions.

Beas Kund Trek. What bag to carry?

Hey all. I have booked for the Beas Kund Trek for the last week of June. Its my first trek ever. So not sure what to carry. I usually travel Solo, so I have a 50L rucksack. But, I am worried if its too big for a 4 day trek. I will also be in Manali the day before and after the trek. Any advice or suggestions is much appreciated. I saw some videos and everyone seems to have a day pack and not a 50l bag, could be because of offloading.
