I got a question and im rather curious. given i talked with plenty of my other car enthusiast and motorsport buddies
so here is the question(before you ask, yes its related to american cars), lets say american cars were already in MFG. how well would cars say like a mustang GTD, 2017 dodge viper ACR. or even say an LS fest autocross/track hot rod spec 5th gen camaro compete? in my opinion id say top 3. my pick of them would be the mustang GTD. despite that car being 4300 pounds. its one of the easiest cars to drive and be consistent in. but also the most setup(i had plans to write a comic were vaughn actually brought a monster energy themed GTD where he basically overbuilt the cooling system for the supercharger intercooler bricks. so the fluid temp and IAT stays down much longer). i want your guy's thoughts. and what other cars do you guys think would work in MFG?
Another OC but this is actually for my mom who loves motorcycles
now my mom is patricia downing. but she goes by chasharu downing in my comics. her ride is a black turbocharged harley street glide with a 121 ci turbo V twin. around 220 to 260HP. the name of the bike i called black shadow and its actually her daily. i looked and asked around several people. there are no rules or anything against entering a motorcycle into MFG. it'll be tricky given its an 800 pound bike but because in car perspective its a "sedan" and heavy vehicle. it would benefit from a stickier MFG approved tire(my problem is i am not very educated on motorcycles. a few of my buddies who race motorcycles in autocross are). but overall what do you guys think? there's no rules against entering a motorcycle so anyone with an OC who races a motorcycle can go for it. chasharu is the only one in my family who prefers racing motorcycles over her viper named medusa. being bikes can be just as fast as cars(if not faster. its a reason why turbo sport bikes demolish hypercars)
this ones for me despite being an OC in my own comic.
had to repost. same as last time except the AI art. instead this is the picture im using
Name: Treasure Downing
Parents: Jack and Chasharu Downing(both are racers in their own right)
Background: Endurance racing, harley davidson bagger racing. LS Fest, Optima batteries street car challenge. and professional go karting(for fun)
Age: 26 years old
Car: 1985 buick grand national restomod
Details: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1D5pO5rTuGd6CwjbS3vWoKu-10O15MQh-aCQXPykgXZs/edit?usp=sharing (had to do the google docs cause i aint gonna bloat with too much details)
Basic Specs: Twin VGT turbocharged chevy LV3 4.3L V6. 900HP and 950 torque. custom made GM5L90EH 5 speed auto. Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport R tires. 4000 pound curb weight. and an aftermarket roadster shop REVO chassis. top speed of 195MPH so its geared tall and meant for handling. not top speed
Car Number: 88(do it for dale jr)
Reason i chose a GNX is because no american cars in MF Ghost. much less custom built hot rods. and us americans(and hot rodders) are notorious for building cars that beat supercars for way less money. on and off track
this ones for me despite being an OC in my own comic.
now this artwork was not done by me but by my best friend adameusz welter. the second picture was the car i referenced. so heres some info below about my OC(myself)

saw some more people doing OC stuff so this isnt for me. but my younger brother caleb downing
now for context my brother caleb(who is 19. a rally student from dirtfish rally school. and an avid rallycross driver) in my MF Ghost comic is a dual entry. entering both freshman class(to get his license so he dont just charge his way up), semi pro and pro class. freshman and semi pro he will do in his magnuson 2300 heartbeat(LSA style. so intercooled. hense my brothers "fridge loop" style cooling system to keep supercharger coolant temps down and IAT's down) supercharged lancia delta HF integrale EVO 2. which makes 300HP for freshman class(8PSI) and 350(15 to 16PSI) for the semi pro class. he runs DOT tarmac rally spec slicks for both the lancia and his other car. a chrysler sabre GT. it is essentially a third gen dodge stealth RT. dodge didnt have the funds bu the chrysler group did. the sabre GT is AWD, 4WS(4 wheel steering. similar to older GTR's), 440HP and 480 torque from not a mitsibishi V6. but a callaway tuned chrysler EGH 3.8L twin turbo V6. his driver number is the same as smokey yunick. number 22 on the lancia and number 18 on the sabre GT. the fun part is both cars run faceplated manual transmissions. so caleb doesnt have to use a clutch. the ignition cuts when the gear is about to engage. allowing caleb to compete with the newer DCT cars in MF Ghost. his driving style is very rally inspired so expect some 4 wheel rally slides and tight apex cornering. rally drivers are absolute units
Ok. Do you guys want to see fan suggested MF Ghost cars be ranked based on their times they put down? this was an idea my younger brother caleb wanted.
it'll be under the same rules as this first trials(which is below). but with one exception
"Rules: WASD, automatic, 3 runs per race. No more than 4 crashes or result will be DQ and time added to the final score from the slowest car of that race and/or approximate time via laps not completed. Notes will also be added. "
YOU guys get to pick the types of track my brother does since he wants a challenge. any fan suggested car will do. ill screenshot and send em to my brother and see what he can do with vehicles. just be detailed about the stats of the vehicle so i can help my brother caleb out. because while he is an avid rally driver and rally gamer. he doesnt play much street racing games like TXR or MR:T. good luck everyone. and make it fun for my brother.
for anyone curious considering MF Ghost is after initial D. i did say in the comment of my post id include a bio of the cars that where in the MF Ghost story i wrote
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1D5pO5rTuGd6CwjbS3vWoKu-10O15MQh-aCQXPykgXZs/edit?usp=sharing
Just and FYI. the only reason i chose to add myself into MF Ghost is mainly because the fact i understand how motorsports works in general. rulesets and even how things integrate. along with BoP(Balance Of Performance. thats where the phrase "its not the car. its the driver" rings true. only when vehicles are in the same performance class regardless of track). the more you know, the more you know🤷👍😁. also i put it in show off/showcase because it isnt art but rather biography stuff.
Welp. That settles the debate on who actually is the fastest
Just for context. i had already done this before on assetto corsa with the exact same driving format i used in this one. just wanted to do it again in a game everybody plays on. which was midnight racing tokyo. these were the cars i could accurately recreate based on available public info.
if you want to look at the result. its down here

I'd like to hear what you guys think. as stated before. i already did this in asetto coursa but i actually wanted to double check and confirm on a different game to see if results would stay the same. and pretty much it did
created 2 turtle based exitebot machines. sea turtle(street) and the standard turtle(third screenshot)
i used to play alot of excitebots trick racing for the wii. and found out i actually had the chassis for the turtlebots specifically. the sea turtle one is my own original idea. figured it out after i stripped tourpedo down and realized with fins. it looks like a sea turtle when you look at it top down. i tried my best. what do you guys think? any opinions?
uhm. really? that was uncalled for
this was a race i spectated in a small initial D lobby in MR:T. this is my older sister that's playing and she's the one driving a Mitsubishi GTO. i personally think after beating kyoichi sudo and takumi fujiwara. what she said was a bit too much. but that's my opinion. she makes around 380HP and her car is supercharged. semi slicks and full aero to help keep the car planted. i wanna ask what you guys think. do you think what she said in towards takumi was too much? now for context the 2 cars. the evo 3 and AE86 are in the rematch spec(i dont know what episode exactly. im not an initial D snob like my older sister is. and shes obsessed with Japanese culture) so i have no clue what power, gear ratio, or anything that they were running in that lobby.
if takumi werent as broke as he was. what would he go for on his AE86?
to me and i wanna hear what you guys think. he would have 2 options
toyota 1uz V8(those engines were plenty and by the time initial D happened. toyota had from what i can guess. over 50'000 of these engines. not to sure so correct me)
or
4A-GZE stroker(1.9 or 2.0L). this will give less RPM but more torque down low. allowing takumi to use the power needed for his rhythm style driving
i want to hear what YOU guys think
so hear me out guys. i do some sim driving both off and on roblox(assetto corsa, GT7 and MRT). i once did all initial D cars on the same track to confirm who was really the fastest(no plot armor or anything). and 2 years ago that was kyoichi sudo. but that was on a map called shuto expressway which i feel really wasnt a fair comparison(because i was going for track focus. like laguna seca or big willow style). i wanna do it again officially but on ichikawa instead. every initial D car in its final form(stage 4 and stage 5, all as close as accurately to their appearance in anime TV show) will be thrown around goliaths marathon. each car will get 3 laps. and those three laps will be the cars average. i check the comments later after 4PM(here where i am in texas) when i get off. i'd love to hear your guy's inputs. i appreciate it
ok so here is my question. does everyone have to run a spec tire or what are the rules really in tuned street class in MF Ghost? I(myself as the character) has a 1987 buick GNX restomod. 900 horsepower 950 torque twin GT3788VA turbocharged LV3 4.3L V6. 10.5in tire on all four corners(goodyear eagle RS's), 5 speed prototype GM DCT transmission. roadstershop revo chassis(so full double wishbone all 4 corners). carbon ceramic brakes(salvaged from 2 wrecked camaro race cars) and willwood dyna pro brake pads. 4000 pound curb weight. thats my car's stats and what i drive in MF Ghost but uhm. are my goodyears legal? i asked alot of people and no consistent answer. can you guys help educate me? thanks
just an FYI im asking for opinion and corrections on my personal project ok? link right here https://www.polybuzz.ai/banana/viewer/YV8hD?preSource=5
Now in this comic i drive an 87 GNX restomod. full roadstershop REVO chassis. 10.5 inch tires on all for corners. 2 inch fender flares. 900 horsepower 950 torque out of a twin GT3788VA turbocharged 4.3L LV3 V6. 4000 pounds. and a 5 speed prototype DCT type transmission. i wanted to start over on the comic and i want yalls input. what do i need to improve. where and what do i need to know. thats all i ask. and thanks guys. i love initial D and MF Ghost and thats why i make my own fan comics. couldnt post on r/initiald so i decided to look for an MFG specific area to post. i want help and thats all im asking. so where do i need to improve?
from what i researched HKS does offer centrifugal supercharger kits. and i have seen people use ATW(air to water) PDS(Positive Displacement) superchargers. im curious why kanata didnt go that route. personally speaking from an efficiency perspective(like a le mans driver)
the only car i know that has equal history to JDM cars from a tuning perspective has to be a buick grand national(and any turbo model). the grand national(along with its siblings) has been HUGE in motorsport and street racing. plus from a historical perspective. it started the tuning(turbo culture) long before japan did. plus while it has been called a muscle car. deep down its just an american tuner(the 3800 series is what made it equal to the later 7M-GTE, 2j and RB series engines in terms of impact. not just horsepower. but cultural impact.). but i want yalls opinions on the car choice? should it be tier 1? if so or not. how much should it cost?
"efficiency is the key to consistency"
"dont do it for yourself. do it for others"
"long term is more important than short term"
(quote i live by) "work smart. not hard"
"dont let anyone doubt you. if any. give em the proof and facts"
"never be distracted. always stay focused
screenshots are in order of the 5 runs i did back to back. the average after doing some math was a 6:00.876 average. no where near close to 5:45. on top of that i did all of this with evil twin 2. the 250 horsepower supercharged AE86. its stock weight so it keeps itself stable. full aero body kit like the original. stage 3 brakes(stock bias), +4 track width(stock camber). -.5 front and rear suspension height. and thats really it. nothing else. no corner cutting. no drifting. no fancy moves exploiting physics. just real data driven driving. so before you say i suck. why dont YOU run 5 laps back to back in the same car. and see how consistent you are. got it?
TLDR: i drive with keyboard and automatic transmission. so i stay focused on the road and dont make hasty mistakes(less distraction. means more efficiency). so unless YOU can drive the exact way i do. cant call me a bad drive till you can do what i do. LOL 🤣
this isnt a traditional poll because the poll for the web version of reddit doesnt work. so imma do it old fashioned
buick grand national(any trim included too)
buick lasabre
GMC syclone/typhoon(same truck. different trim)
4th gen firebird.
ford pinto
smart for-2(smart car. would be good for touge roads and technically can be considered a K car)
