My dermatologist recommended me accutane

So some context, I never had teenage acne just a pimple or two now and then but in the past year since October the pimples kept coming, one after another and while nothing was majorly cystic they left red marks that makes my skin still look like it has acne, and this is how my skin looks now. It might be because I changed countries last year and the food changed or stress or whatever but the main point is do I need accutane? Im afraid of the side effects especially when I will be living alone again without access to a dermatologist. I have tried azelaic acid, use sunscreen daily and am currently on adapelene twice a week. Do you guys have any idea what to do do in this situation? Should I instead go for like facial treatments or should I just take accutane ?
