Got it done yesterday!

Got it all removed! I feel so weak and tired but also glad that it's finally over. It was very stressful preparing for this surgery because I got it done in another country – in Poland, while I'm from Lithuania.

I was supposed to get the surgery July 16 but I got sick and the date got moved. I paid out of pocket, via bank transfer using Revolut and with all the fees it was around 4k EUR.

When I woke up from surgery I felt no passage of time so my first thought was 'why aren't you doing the surgery?'. Quickly I realized the surgery was over and I felt so happy and free!

When I woke up I felt like I really really had to pee but that was because of the catheter. I also feel bloated but haven't been able to pass any gas.

They took my catheter out yesterday at 9 pm and threatened to put it back in this morning because I hadn't peed on my own yet. So I got up to pee and started bleeding all over the floor. But the nurses said it's within expected amount of bleeding. So far have peed 2 more times, each time there was less and less of blood.

I wasn't told this beforehand but I had to do bowel prep when i arrived to the hospital, it was not fun. Also had to shave my stomach and entire downstairs area. I got my first meal about an hour ago after 44 hours of not eating.

I will be getting discharged on day 3 Post-Op, I was initially planning to stay until day 4 but changed my mind. It's very boring here in the hospital. And since my surgery went with no complications, the doctor said I can be released even tomorrow morning.

I have to say everyone here is very respectful and nice. The fact that I'm trans never even came up, I haven't gotten any intrusive questions. They're simply treating me as a patient after surgery.

I will have to stay in Poland until day 7 PO to get my stitches removed and because it's a bad idea go on an 8 hour car ride any sooner.

I was also given some rehab instructions, they were in polish though, so I used chatgpt to translate.

Overall physically i feel like shit but my spirits are up!
