Location advice

My husband has been offered a position in London for us to consider. We are a couple in early 40s with children 15 and 12. We would be immigrating from Australia so the school years would be tricky. Our daughter is 15 - due to her current year 10 grades we have been advised she can skip GCSE and use her Australian marks for A level entry. She prefers a low stress environment for these even though she is a straight A student currently taking extension for all core subjects. Our son ( 12) will have to skip year 7 and be the youngest in Grade 8 in England. He is currently finishing year 6 ( last year primary school in Australia) He is average academically, likes sports and is a highly sensitive child.

Both children are diagnosed ADHD and work best in a school that is supportive low pressure and has good teacher retainment. My husband and kids have British citizenship. The company will pay rent, all associated moving cost and sort all my visas and job needs as well. I am after school suggestions and suburbs suggestions that meet there low stress needs are safe and easy transport for my husband to st James area. This will also be an opportunity for us to spend time with my husband’s family who all reside in northern England. I lived in London in my 20s in Acton, Maida vale, Queens park and West Hampstead although I am sure things have changed a lot. Bonus if any of them have easy commutes to a paediatric hospital for me to do some casual work. I don’t plan on working the first 6 months to help kids settle. Many thanks

Hi we have a 4 night 5 day road trip planned between Australian World Cup matches this June. Current planned overnight stops are: Astoria, Florence, Trinidad and Mendocino. This seems to be around 4.5 direct driving plus allows another few stops and sight seeing each day. We understand it may be slower it’s more about the journey than the destination. We have accommodation booked in Bainbridge and Oakland but have not booked accomodation in between yet. Would love some recommendations on budget friendly, safe and clean accommodation on the way. Trying to stay under $300 US a night. We have another 3 weeks of travels after this before we fly out of LA on 23 July. Are these the best towns for overnight stops? 2 adults 2 teens that are good with long car drives as we reside in Western Australia. Looking to see coastal sights, redwoods and the kids want to check out some of the classic movie locations ( as do we ). TIA
