Unfulfilled Math Prerequisite
Hi all,
I’m a junior in undergrad applying to PT schools in August. Some of the schools I’m applying to in NYC have a math prerequisite which I haven’t technically fulfilled.
I took AP Calculus AB in high school and received a 3 on the exam so I did not receive college credit but I was waived of the requirement to take math for my degree. Essentially, I was able to take chem and physics without taking a math class due to the AP exam score placing me out/above the calc level.
I’m worried that this will lead to schools denying me automatically. I’m working on reaching out to each program individually but I am wondering if anyone’s experienced this before? I am considering taking pre-calculus next year if it will be an issue, but as of right now, I don’t have enough space in my fall schedule to do so.
