Looking to start an importing business in Singapore for Food products or Pet Products

Hi everyone,

I’m currently exploring the possibility of starting a small import business focusing on either 1) Food / Snacks from overseas for human consumption or 2) pet products particularly Pet supplements & Pet shampoos

I’m still very early in the research stage and would like to get some suggestions from fellow redditors who are in the importing/distribution business.

I’m especially interested in understanding how you started, mistakes you made, costs you underestimated, and what you would do differently if you were starting again today.

as well i have the following questions.

  1. Which would be easier to import into Singapore in terms of regulation and complexity, 1) Food / Snacks for humans or 2) Pet Supplements / Products.

  2. What is your process for checking whether a new product can legally be imported and sold in Singapore

  3. How do you determine whether a product is commercially viable before importing it?

  4. What has been the hardest part of the business: finding suppliers, regulatory compliance, logistics, getting customers, managing cash flow, dealing with retailers, or something else?

Hope to hear from everyone!

CIA Part 1 & Part 2 Study Tool

Hi All,

I've created a study tool for Part 1 & Part 2 CIA Exam. I Created this as a way for me to do exam questions in a continuous loop in a MCQ Format that works like a game.

The key concept is that if i get a questions wrong, the game will give me the reason why its wrong and the topic for me to review to get a better understanding of it.

This tool had helped me pass my exam quite easily. If anyone wanna try it out do send me a DM for the Full Versions.

This is my sample for the 2 tools.

For Part 1 https://claude.ai/public/artifacts/d5bcdfb7-7b20-4b70-9713-6b10e286524b (Full Version has 245 QNs)

For Part 2 https://claude.ai/public/artifacts/fb6b582b-ea14-4e60-b97e-b0088e4b5dc6 (Full Version has 200 QNs)

Max Locomotion Wheelchairs Opinion

Hi All,

I have an 8 year old girl who was an ex-breeding doggy. recently rescued. she's unable to use both her hind legs. when we got her, she initially had little to no muscles on her hind legs and was limp. but after a year and daily exercises and lots of physio sessions. we are able to gain back some muscles..

recently we saw an insta post regarding this Max Locomotion wheelchair. its quite cool with the back wheels installed with an axel bar that simulates the pups walking motion for hind legs.

but since this is a Brazilian company and the estimated cost is about USD$1000+, its a little too high cost for me to just hope it isn't a scam and its legit.

wanted to check if anyone knows about this company and/or has used their wheelchairs before?
