I am thinking a 10-day trip with my family to the mountains this June. We are currently confused between Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh, but we are open to other suggestions as well.

Here are our main concerns:

Weather: I've heard Sikkim might start getting rain/monsoon in June. How bad are the landslides? On the other hand, is Himachal too hot or crowded during this time?

Crowd: We want to avoid overly commercialized and jam-packed places. If we go to Himachal, are there offbeat family-friendly circuits?

The "Wow" Factor: We are looking for surreal landscapes and a memorable experience that feels unique.
