I love the look of our Craftsman style single level home but I have been struggling with how to decorate the empty space to the right of our front door, with the window. It just looks empty and needs something to make the space look warmer and more finished. I am thinking maybe a plant or multiple plants -- or maybe a chair/chairs or bench but we already have both in other areas of the porch, as you can see. I am not a plant person, so any suggestions on specific types of plants/pots would be helpful to me. Also, do we like the tan buffalo check mat and smaller welcome mat in front of the door or no? I can't decide if a larger welcome mat that fits the door frame would be better. Thanks in advance for any design ideas!
