TIFU by letting my son get addicted to SMOSH

Okay so a year ago I was pregnant with my first child, a little sweet boy. I constantly had YouTube on in the background and SMOSH was playing A LOT, specifically Reddit Stories with Shayne Topp from iCarly. Flash forward to my son being born. He had a rough first few weeks, always upset and virtually inconsolable. I had heard that if you had played a song frequently enough while they’re still in-utero it might comfort them earth-side. So I tried. I tried all of the songs I had on repeat. I tried nursery rhymes. I tried Simple Songs for Kids. I tried singing and dancing for him. Nothing worked. I had decided I needed to separate my mind from the crying and screaming so I put on a random episode of Reddit Stories and to my astonishment once Shayne started talking, my son calmed down. It was like magic, hanging on Shayne’s every word. I found afterwards that the episodes were on Spotify so our car rides became Reddit story rides. So now, when my son is having a moment and I can’t bring him back with other methods I’ll pop on an audio episode and pray that the smooth stylings of Shayne will calm my feral beast.

TL;DR I watched Smosh Reddit Stories while pregnant and now my son is soothed by Shayne Topp’s voice.
