USPS disbanding SDC launch team. Maybe it's a change in tactic. Maybe it's the first step in admitting that these things are extremely damaging to service, more expensive than they thought they would be, and a massive disruption to their employees lives.

For me the craziest part about this is management couldn't care less.

their precious cult of numbers says the more envelopes and the more packages the bigger their pay for performance raises. they might as well be in on it

Why are we losing money?! If you listen to management it's never THEIR problem. "It's 100% the fault of those greedy Union workers." Meanwhile, there's a news story like this every other FRIKIN' week...USPS Coding Error Missed $22.6 Million In Postage,

They figured out we're filming them with the "NG TV" cameras on the side of the new trucks.

coming to a postal truck near you soon... there's a schizo on every route who thinks the post office is reading their mail ... and now this we are so "Flocked" as an institution.

We gots ANOTHER boss.... Because the answer to the giant list of problems THEY created is: .... More management.

A while ago we got dragged three towns across the county to a new S&DC. total s#it show.. new postmaster that we've never met in the city that we deliver shows up and tells us there's a communication problem and he's going to be stopping by telling us what to do and asking us questions. we asked her how much empty space is in the old Post Office? enough room to fit all of our mail cases? cuz that would solve 99% of our problems, not having more bosses....

SERVICE TALK! manager says: each letter costs CFS 53 cents to process! and we better be careful about we are sending to be processed. things must be bad they can't even afford to change on their label printers. Anybody want to calculate how much money we can save by entirely eliminating cfs?

"those who fail to learn math will be taken advantage of by those who do." Don't believe the hype USPS is making Bank off of your low wages that can't afford anything. They will tell you the problem is "Labor" but it's not your labor it's the lack of anything resembling labor by the white collars

what they're paying you for your hard work is a BARGAIN. if they had to pay you but you are really worth you'd be making at least 25% more per hour. keep that in mind and think about "working your wage"

Explain to me why we couldn't replace 90% of management with just our scanners. Service talks on the scanner, scanner approves overtime... And it's no different than any supervisor I ever had, I was never good enough for any of them either....

USPS restricts nonessential spending to D-lay running out of cash | Federal News Network

Alvarez & Marsal Holdings consultant recommendations: 10 hours / 4 day work week. All area management done away with: postmasters done away with. MCDO MPOO gone. Operating with station managers only. Supervisors would be kept around 2 administer discipline. Lead carriers in charge of splitting routes. Early outs for all crafts.
