The mouse mound. The work is diligent and intense,

but it’s actually unclear what it’s for; in the end,

no tunnel or nest emerges, yet one feels a sense of accomplishment and a purpose in life. Without the mound, one would simply dig at random objects in a manner bordering on behavioral disorder. The mound is also never finished; there are an endless number of cardboard boxes, and they just keep coming. The similarity to modern office work is simply astonishing.
