I am a contract worker and pay provisional tax. Someone who works with me and earns the same claims to pay much less tax than I do due to using a tax practitioner. We earn the same and I deduct office expenses and RA.

Am I missing out on deductions by not using a tax practitioner? What other things do they deduct that could result in my colleague paying less tax?
